What medications may interact with Depasmart?

Dapagliflozin may interact with other medicines or herbal supplements you may be using. To help avoid a drug interaction, it is important that you manage all your medications carefully. Be sure to tell your health care specialist about all the medicines that you have been using.  Especially inform about the following:

  • Insulin and other diabetes drugs such as Glyburide, glimepiride, tolazamide, chlorpropamide, repaglinide, nateglinide etc.
  • Diuretics or water pills

Warnings and Precautions

  • If you are pregnant women, talk to your healthcare specialist and discuss the best way to control blood sugar levels during pregnancy. Be sure to inform your healthcare specialist about your pregnancy during the treatment.
  • It is not known if Dapagliflozin passes into the breast milk. Discuss with your health care specialist if you can take this while breastfeeding.
  • People aged 65 years and above who take Depasmart 5 mg may be at increased risk of low blood pressure especially when standing.
